Jonathan Blake Money Management Limited was established in August 2004.

Jonathan writes: “From 1985 until 2000 I worked for a High Street bank undertaking a variety of roles, mostly in Exeter and East Devon, but in 1995 I returned to Cornwall, where I was born, and was educated at Truro School.

Following a successful transition from a tied financial advice background to being an Independent Financial Advisor, I was convinced that I could provide a better service to my clients by forming my own company.

Having had a variety of experience, I sought to ensure that I was in full control of my future and that of my clients.  Moving forward, following regulatory changes that came in in June 2005, my belief has been vindicated in that we now offer a quality, directly regulated financial advice practice offering fee-based advice and, if required, traditional commission or offset payment income.  This choice is exactly what our clients want and, ultimately, deserve.

We pride ourselves on always being available to our clients, and meet with them as regularly as required to review their affairs and in order to ensure that their financial plans are on course and heading in the right direction.”

John Smith joins Jonathan Blake with many years of experience in the financial sector. John writes:

"After 28 years in mainstream banking I chose to leave my position as a Manager as the level of support available to people had diminished and was likely to continue to do so.
Having had a variety of experience, I sought to ensure I was in full control of my future and that of my clients. Moving forward, I am positive that after regulation changes in January 2005, a quality directly regulated practice will be precisely what my clients want and ultimately deserve.

However, the main driving force for me has always been to provide good customer service and so I found myself still in the world of finance but working with protection and investments rather than lending and banking products.
